It's Called Christmas!

Why oh why do people insist on not calling this time of year by it's real name CHRISTMAS!

There is one thing that annoys me more than anything else these days, it's Christmas being called by some other name...Winterval, Festivus, Chrismukkah, Yule, Yuletide...
...and then there are my all time most annoying ones: Xmas and Crimbo!

It's almost as if Christ is deliberately being taken out of Christmas! It's hardly surprising that so few people know and understand what the true meaning of Christmas is when they don't even know it's called Christmas anymore.

Help keep Christ in Christmas, don't abbreviate or use alternative names for it, just call it as it is...Christmas!

Longing for God

King of Kings

Yesterday in our morning worship we sang "King of Kings, Majesty" which is a song I hadn't heard or sung for a while. It's a beautiful song and one which reaffirms our desire to serve God while reminding us that God is our "closest friend".

Please review the words of this song. Do you believe that God is your "closest friend"? If not, I'd urge you to kneel before God today and give Him your all.

Perfect Love

Everybody longs to be loved and everybody longs to find that special person in their life. But there's another love we need not look very far for, and that is God's love. God's love is all around is whether we accept His love or not.

When we accept God love, we are accepting God's love is perfect; it's unconditional and it's unending. In return for His love, God simply asks that we "love the lost and bring them home" because "We were made to glorify our King".
